DES MOINES, Iowa — Local 5 received two awards at the 23rd Upper Midwest Regional Emmys on Saturday, Oct. 15.
"Good Morning Iowa" anchor Chenue Her and Chief Photographer Don Schmith were awarded a Regional Emmy in the Children/Youth/Teen — News category for their story "Never Too Young," the story of an Ames third grader writing a letter to the city to get an audible crosswalk for his father who is visually impaired.

- Brad Edwards, Chief Meteorologist
- Brandon Lawrence, Meteorologist
- Taylor Kanost, Meteorologist
- Dave Downey, Meteorologist
