DES MOINES, Iowa — Local 5 is requesting designs for holiday cards to help provide food to central Iowans this holiday season. Parents are encouraged to submit their child's (ages 13 and under) design for the front of a holiday card, that shows what the holidays look like for their family. Each submission must be an authentic, original design by your child. The use of generative AI tools is prohibited.
Five designs will be chosen from submissions and will be printed as holiday cards to be sold at the Des Moines Holiday Boutique, Nov. 15-17 at the Iowa Events Center. All proceeds will go to the DMARC Food Pantry, helping to provide food to central Iowans.
Parents – you can download the example sheet that shows an 8.5” x 5.5” area, the size that should be submitted. Once your child's design is ready, use the link below to complete the competition entry form and upload an image of the design. Entries must be received by October 20, 2024.
