DES MOINES, Iowa — July is flying by, which means there's only a few more weeks of summer left.
Local 5 rounded up five events happening in the Des Moines metro this weekend to channel all the positive summer energy you can.

- Where: Copper Creek Lake Park (4390 E University Ave., Pleasant Hill)
- Price: $12 (includes one drink ticket)
It's the last Chill on the Hill of the season. Enjoy a cool beverage and live music by Blake Jack and South 35. A food truck will also be on site.
Note: This event is for people 21 years old or older.

- Where: Centennial Park (1255 Warrior Lane, Waukee)

Show your appreciation for local artists at this fun, family-friendly festival. More than 100 artists will attend the event. In addition, the festival will include yoga, kids activities, live music and more.
For the first time ever, the festival will also feature the Waukee Fine Arts Footrace 5K. Signups are still open here.

Live music, food trucks and craft beer: What more could you want? This free festival will feature over 10 Iowa performers. Grab a bite to eat from one of the six food trucks on site, and wash it down with a drink from a local craft brewery.
Performers include River City Opry, Flash in a Pan and Miles Over Mountains.

Light up Des Moines this weekend at the Water Lantern Festival. Iowans are invited to decorate a lantern with messages of hope, love, happiness, healing, connection or remembrance. Then, at the end of the event, attendees will let their lanterns float across the water for a truly memorable and magical experience.

- Where: 6th Avenue in Highland Park, between Euclid Ave. and Douglas Ave.

Shop 'til you drop at the Northside Market this weekend. The event takes place in the heart of Highland Park and will feature dozens of local businesses, including Macramé By Jess, Hannah Banana Fabrics, Locust Grove Farm Co., Leety Delights and more.
