NEWTON, Iowa — VIDEO ABOVE: NASCAR bringing 2024 Cup Series to Iowa Speedway
Iowans can look forward to another star-studded Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend in 2024: Luke Combs and Post Malone are the first two artists to join the event's concert lineup.
Combs will perform on the Hy-Vee Stage on Saturday, July 13, while Post Malone will take the stage on Sunday, July 14.
As one of the biggest names in country music, Combs is sure to bring a large crowd to the Iowa Speedway. The "Beautiful Crazy" and "One Number Away" singer was named CMA Entertainer of the Year in both 2021 and 2022. More recently, Combs earned his 16th consecutive No. 1 single with his cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car".
Malone's performance in Newton will be his first-ever concert in central Iowa. Known for blurring the lines between rap, pop and R&B, Malone is known for songs such as "Circles", "Sunflower" and "Better Now". Just this year, Malone received the Songwriters Hall of Fame Hal David Starlight Award.
"Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend has become a true destination event, showcasing everything that is great about racing and about Iowa," said Jeremy Gosch, Hy-Vee's vice chairman and CEO, in a statement. "We're obviously very excited about how the weekend has been received the past two years, and we know the 2024 event will be just as great. We look forward to bringing these artists to Iowa and providing another outstanding weekend of entertainment."
Since the inaugural event in 2022, the Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend has welcomed a wealth of talent to central Iowa. In 2023, the event featured Ed Sheeran, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band.
