BOONE, Iowa — Country music staple Trace Adkins is making a stop in Iowa this summer.
Along with special guest Walker Montgomery, Adkins is bringing hits like "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" and "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing" to the Central Iowa Expo Center in Boone in late June.
The 62-year-old has been churning out country hits in the industry since his 1996 "Dreamin' Out Loud" debut album, earning him more than 20 singles on the Billboard country charts and several multi-platinum songs in the last few decades.
Adkins, known for his deep voice when singing and speaking, also voice acts — you might recognize some of his baritone lines from KFC and Firestone ads, or as Elvin on "The King of the Hill".
