Comedian Nate Bargatze to stop in Des Moines

The Tennessee comedian will perform at the Wells Fargo Arena on Saturday, May 18.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Get ready to laugh, Iowa: Grammy-nominated comedian Nate Bargatze is coming to Wells Fargo Arena this spring.

Bargatze is known for his four critically acclaimed and award-winning comedy specials The Tennessee Kid, The Greatest Average American and Hello, World!.

The Tennessee native made his mark on the comedy scene in 2015, debuting on Comedy Central. His debut album Yelled at By a Clown reached number 1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts. The album made its mark on Billboard's Top Ten Comedy Charts staying on the list for weeks. 

In 2021, the comedian earned his first Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album forThe Greatest Average American. Last year, he released his latest one-hour special, Nate Bargatze: Hello, World! on Amazon Prime. 

Bargatze will stop in Des Moines as part of his "The Be Funny Tour" on Saturday, May 18. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. Presale tickets are also available starting on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
