What does it look like to be in a 'deserted' Des Moines?

The usually busy streets of Des Moines are nearly empty amid the coronavirus pandemic.

DES MOINES, Iowa — We talk a lot about our "new normal" as the coronavirus pandemic continues to unfold.

Unfortunately, although necessary, it means that our usually busy streets, parks, shopping centers, public entertainment spaces, and more are empty.

The majority of people in Iowa are now working from home or practicing proper social distancing measures.

All of this is important to flattening the curve and slowing the spread of COVID-19.

We will all get through this, together.
