IOWA, USA — With the Thanksgiving holiday quickly approaching, some Iowans may be in need of a free, hot meal.

Do Good Des Moines
- Thursday, Nov. 23 (1 - 6 p.m.)
- Fred Maytag Scout Center (6123 Scout Trail, Des Moines)
Do Good Des Moines and 4 All Kids are collaborating for the "4th Annual Winter Warmth Event," which includes a hot meal and free winter clothing.
"Our intent with this event is to provide the basic human need of warmth and a full belly," the organization wrote on Facebook.

Hope Ministries
- Thursday, Nov. 23 (Noon - 1 p.m.)
- 1310 6th Avenue, Des Moines
Hope Ministries is delivering free Thanksgiving meals, but orders are due Wednesday, Nov. 15. Visit their website or call 515-265-4277 to reserve yours.
They are also serving their annual free meal at their 6th Avenue Hope Cafe.
Parks Community Thanksgiving Dinner
You can sign up for a Thanksgiving dinner by calling 515-875-5229. Carry-out and delivery are both available.

Pickup for their "Share Your Feast" Thanksgiving meals is Friday, Nov. 17. The application deadline has passed.
