IOWA, USA — The Iowa Pork Producers Association has named five finalists for the 2024 Best Breaded Pork Tenderloin contest.
The winner will be named in October and receive a plaque, a banner and a $500 prize.
"There were 532 restaurants nominated for our 22nd annual contest, which goes to show that Iowans love their breaded pork tenderloins," IPPA Marketing and Programs Director Kelsey Sutter said in a release. "Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand that Iowa has no shortage of these hand-breaded favorites."
The 2024 finalists are:
- Bronson Bar (Bronson)
- Dairy Sweet (Dunlap)
- Ruby's Pub and Grill (Stuart)
- The Blind Pig (Monticello)
- The Market at the Tap (Monticello)
Participating restaurants must offer a pork tenderloin on their menu all year round and "be hand-breaded or battered." A three-judge panel will decide the winner and runners up.
Past winners include Cliff's Place in Manning (2023) and Lid's Bar & Grill in Waukon (2022).
