DES MOINES, Iowa — 100 Des Moines area veterans got a surprise Friday, as barbecue meals got delivered straight to their doorsteps.
The Iowa Veteran's Perspective, a non-profit dedicated to helping the state's military veterans, in conjunction with Big Red Food Trucks, Iowa Rent-A-Cake and Fareway, made it happen.
