PLEASANT HILL, Iowa — Make-A-Wish Iowa's 2024 softball event Wishes on Deck is set to pit the Hawkeyes and Cyclones against each other for a good cause.
The event on Sunday, June 23 brings together athletes from all over the state to play in a friendly, yet competitive, game of softball. The game raises money to grant wishes for as many children as possible fighting critical illnesses.
Wishes on Deck will be played at the Southeast Polk Softball Stadium in Pleasant Hill.
And it wouldn't be a friendly competition without teams comprised of Iowa State Cyclones and Iowa Hawkeyes. Take a look below at who is playing this year.

"This softball game is more than just rivals facing off on the field,” Sara Kurovski, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Iowa, said in a release. "At Wishes on Deck, people in our communities can bring everyone in their families or friend groups together to rally around these children and families enduring incredibly challenging experiences. It’s an opportunity to spend some time together outside, meet star collegiate athletes and change the lives of people impacted by our mission. We hope to see a packed stadium!"
During the event, fans will hear stories from Iowa Wish Kids and those who attend the event will also be able to enjoy food, collect autographs from players and take part in an auction.

Event Schedule
- 3:30 p.m. — VIP gates open
- 4 p.m. — General admission gates open
- 4:30-6 p.m. — Autograph Zone
- 6:15 p.m. — Special welcome, national anthem and first pitch
