DENVER — Walgreens is already looking ahead to the holiday season.
The retailer announced Monday its plans for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day holidays.
Walgreens said it will close most of its stores on Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 28. However, the company said 24-hour Walgreens locations will remain open to meet patient healthcare needs.
Walgreens said its stores will operate regular hours on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 29.
The company said it does plan to be open on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
"Last year for the very first time, Walgreens closed most of its retail stores for the Thanksgiving holiday to recognize the contributions of team members across the country and allow them to spend the day with loved ones," the company said in a news release. "This year, Walgreens will again give thanks to its hard-working employees and will close most of its stores for the Thanksgiving holiday."
Walgreens customers can check their local store and pharmacy hours using the Walgreens store locator.
