WAUKEE, Iowa — Waukee Target fans can take a deep sigh of relief now that the opening date for the city's first location was announced Thursday.
The store, which is the 22nd location in Iowa, will have its grand opening on Sunday, Oct. 13 and will be located at 900 SE Laurel St.
Hours of operation will be Sunday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Residents have long-awaited the opening date since the Target was announced nearly two years ago as part of a $132 million entertainment center.
About 100 team members will be hired for the 148,000-square-foot building and it will feature Target Circle 360 related services, a CVS Pharmacy and a Starbucks Café.
