CDS Global plant in Harlan to close in February 2025, almost 100 jobs lost

The slated layoff date for employees according to WARN is Feb. 3, 2025.

HARLAN, Iowa — Due to a closing CDS Global plant in Harlan, 94 employees were notified of their approaching layoff, according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN).

Employees were notified of the layoff Nov. 26, and it will be effective Feb. 3, 2025.

CDS Global is a media company based in Des Moines and owned by Hearst Communications Inc. 

WARN lists the company in the information industry as it focuses mainly on customer management systems.
