LAURENS, Iowa — Snack food brand Jack Link's is laying off 91 employees at its Laurens, Iowa facility, according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN).
Employees were notified on Nov. 7, with layoffs going into effect at the Pocahontas County facility on Jan. 24, 2025.
57 employees were laid off at the location in 2022, with 46 additional releases in 2023.
In a company statement, Jack Link's said workers have the opportunity to apply at its expanded Underwood facility and be given relocation assistance.

At Jack Link’s, we have made the difficult decision to restructure our operations, which includes downsizing our Laurens, IA facility. This decision was not made lightly and was driven by careful consideration for the future of our business and the people who have made it strong. In line with this commitment, we are offering affected Team Members the option to apply for roles at our expanded facility in Underwood, IA, where recent investments have created new paths for growth and innovation.
