WEST DES MOINES – Patrons at the Dunkin Donuts on 8th St. in West Des Moines may have noticed a strange sight Friday morning.
Law enforcement officers spent the morning on the roof in a fundraising effort for Special Olympics Iowa in an event called Cop on Top.
This event is one of many planned and implemented each year by the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) in support of Special Olympics Iowa.
In 2014, LETR worked with 750+ law enforcement officers to raise more than $800,000 for Iowa athletes.
