DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police have arrested a suspect in connection to a hit-and-run crash that left a motorcyclist hospitalized.
40-year-old Jenaffar Charlton is charged with Leaving The Scene Of A Serious Injury Accident, an aggravated misdemeanor.
The arrest comes less than a week after police responded to Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway to investigate a crash with injury on Tuesday, Oct. 8. When they arrived, first responders found a 25-year-old male motorcyclist with serious injuries.
Witnesses told police the other vehicle involved, a dark colored SUV, left the scene after the crash.
The motorcyclist remains hospitalized as of Monday afternoon.
