DES MOINES, Iowa — The two Des Moines residents responsible for breaking a 4-week-old's bones in 2022 will spend years in prison for their actions, the Polk County Attorney's Office announced on Friday.
26-year-old Frankie Honeyman and his co-defendant, 32-year-old Cheyenne Swink, both pleaded guilty to "injuring and/or failing to protect a 4-week-old infant who arrived at the hospital with multiple broken bones" back in October 2022.
Honeyman was sentenced for two felonies:
- Child Endangerment Causing a Bodily Injury
- Neglect of a Dependent
He will spend 15 years in prison. Swink was sentenced to two years behind bars for an aggravated misdemeanor of child endangerment.
Honeyman's bond on appeal is set at $100,000 and Swink's is $50,000.
