Des Moines police respond to 3 separate shootings early Thursday morning

Police say one person was hurt in each incident, but they are all expected to survive.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating three separate overnight shootings on Thursday. 

The shootings happened on Payne Road in the Beaverdale neighborhood, Ingersoll Avenue in downtown Des Moines and East Granger Avenue near McKinley Elementary School in the overnight hours of Feb. 22, 2024. 

One person was injured in each shooting, but they are all expected to survive. 

Police told Local 5 the shootings don't seem to be connected.

No arrests have been made, but investigation is ongoing.
