Des Moines police respond to Oakridge neighborhood shooting

Two people were injured, neither of which are believed to be life-threatening injuries, officials say.

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is investigating a shooting incident Saturday night.

At around 9:35 p.m. police and fire crews responded to 926 Oakridge Drive after reports of a drive-by shooting. 

Evidence indicates the suspects fled the area by car, according to a DMPD post.

One man and one minor were injured, neither of which are believed to be life-threatening injuries, officials say.

No suspect information is available.

Police believe there is no ongoing threat to the neighborhood.
