The two incidents occurred barely 6 hours apart.

FORT DODGE, Iowa — 20-year-old Christafer T. Perez of Fort Dodge was arrested Tuesday after robbing and stealing from two different Casey's General Stores in the same day, Fort Dodge Police Department announced.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, a call from the Fort Dodge Casey's located at 3327 5th Ave. S. reported that a male had entered the store and demanded money before leaving on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

When officers arrived on scene, they gathered information from the victim and other witnesses, finding that no weapon was displayed during the incident and that no injuries were reported. Officers were given descriptions of what Perez looked like and what he was wearing.

An officer who was in the area quickly located Perez on his bike based off of the physical description. Perez was taken into custody after attempting to escape.

Following a continued investigation of the two incidents, it was determined that Perez was responsible for both.
