FORT DODGE, Iowa — The Fort Dodge Police Department responded to a call of shots fired Wednesday night that left bullet holes in a vehicle and one person with minor injuries due to broken glass.

Officers responded to the scene at 14th Avenue South around 7:45 p.m. and found themselves at the road's intersection with South 25th where they found a vehicle riddled with bullet holes and a male occupant with minor injuries due to broken glass who declined medical attention.

The investigation moved to the intersection of 14th Avenue South and South 24th Street where the shots were fired. Authorities say that physical evidence and eye-witness testimony were collected.

Fort Dodge police ask that if anyone has any information about the incident that they contact the police department.

Information may also be submitted anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 515-573-1444.

In a separate incident Wednesday shortly before 11 p.m., officers received a separate call for shots fired near 2nd Avenue North and North 10th Street.

Once on scene, a witness told police that a car had been driving south on North 10th Street and evidence showed "mltiple shots had been fired" from the location.

Two people from inside the car suffered minor injuries, but they were not from gunshots.
