Marshalltown bar shooting suspect Victor Delgadillo killed in shooting with California law enforcement

The 18-year-old was wanted on the charge of first-degree murder.

ANAHEIM, Calif. — According to Marshalltown police, law enforcement in Anaheim, California which was involved in the search for suspect 18-year-old Victor Delgadillo following a June 1 bar shooting in Marshalltown, got into an officer involved shooting in which Delgadillo was killed on Friday.

A firearm was found at the scene police said.

Delgadillo, who was a Marshalltown native, was wanted for first-degree murder as a result of the shooting which left 41-year-old Ramon Alexis Feliciano Nieves dead.

After being shot in his interaction with Anaheim police and the U.S. Marshall Task Force, Delgadillo was taken to the hospital where he later died according to authorities.

No officers were injured in the shooting, but the Anaheim police reported that a bystander was injured in after being hit by a bullet.

Following treatment at a local hospital for minor injuries, the bystander was quickly released.
