PELLA, Iowa — The Pella Police Department is investigating an assault at the Pella Middle School Wednesday morning, according to a Facebook post.
Police said there was an assault in the cafeteria before school started Wednesday and one student has been detained.
All involved students are safe and their parents have been contacted, the post says.
There is no ongoing danger to the community.
