WAUKEE, Iowa — The Waukee Police Department has arrested a 16-year-old male in connection to a fatal Monday morning stabbing.
Officers were called to a home in the 600 block of Prairie Park Lane around 11:30 a.m. First responders found 23-year-old Brian McGee with stab wounds he suffered during an altercation, according to a news release.
After being transported to a Des Moines Hospital, McGee succumbed to his injuries.
"The incident was isolated in nature and related to a single residence within the City of Waukee," the police department added. "There was no danger to other residents of Waukee, nor was there ever any danger to the general public."
The police department did not release the 16-year-old suspect's name due to his age. Charges are pending against him.
