WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — West Des Moines police have arrested two people in connection to a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery.
Police responded to a robbery call at Freedom Financial Bank, located at 1255 Jordan Creek Pkwy, around 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.
No injuries were reported and officers received information on the suspects and their vehicle.
Iowa State Patrol located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on I-80 west of Anita. Two people from Georgia were arrested after West Des Moines detectives went to the stop and investigated.
One suspect is charged with second-degree robbery and first-degree theft. The second is charged with second-degree aiding and abetting a robbery and first-degree aiding and abetting a theft.
Both are being held at the Dallas County Jail.
