WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A Minnesota man has been charged with robbery and attempted murder, the West Des Moines Police Department said Wednesday.
Search and arrest warrants were served in the 8900 block of Cascade Avenue on Wednesday. 22-year-old Jamal Jarbah of Minnesota has been arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and Robbery in the First Degree.
Jarbah fired a gun at the victim after robbing them, a criminal complaint states.
"The defendant demanded the victim's wallet after stealing the victim's cell phone while pointing a firearm at the victim," court documents read.
Jarbah is being held at the Dallas County Jail on a $50,000 cash or surety bond.
The jail records show the alleged incident took place on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
