WINDSOR HEIGHTS, Iowa — Gate House Pictures owner Frederick Amundson is facing several child pornography charges.

The 22 charges follow an investigation that began in April 2022 after Windsor Heights police were called to the video production business on University Avenue on reports of child pornography found on a work computer.

Five days after the report, Amundson told officers there was a "zip file" containing child pornography, adding the images were of young women, according to a criminal complaint.

On Feb. 28 of this year, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) handed over digital evidence to Windsor Heights police following a digital forensic exam conducted on the work computer.

The investigation found 22 photos depicting girls between the ages of 6 and 12, nude.

Amundson was arrested on March 21 and released on the morning of March 23 after a $100,00 bond was posted. His first court appearance is scheduled for April 1.

Amundson is charged with 22 counts of Purchase/Possession of Depiction of Minor in Sex Act — First Offense.
