MINBURN, Iowa — A boil advisory is now in effect for the city of Minburn.
The advisory was first issued on Thursday. Leaders said in a Facebook post a water main break in the Xenia water system resulted in pressure loss, prompting the advisory.
Residents are advised to boil all water that will be consumed or used for cooking. Water should be boiled for one minute before being used.
Tap water can be used for bathing and general washing without boiling, the city says.
