WEST DES MOINES – Des Moines Area Community College is getting the word out about its new court reporting class. A few representatives came on Good Morning Iowa to share what it’s all about.
Program Director Patricia Ziegler and Karen Teig visited with Elias Johnson and Sabrina Ahmed to show them how a court reporting keyboard works, and what sorts of skills students need to become a court reporter. The profession is in high demand right now, and it only requires two years of schooling.
There is an open house and informational setting about court reporting at the Newton campus of DMACC on Saturday. It’s from 10 a.m. to noon.
