IOWA CITY- If you’re headed to the Cy-Hawk game next weekend at Kinnick Stadium, their rules for bag checks are a little different than they were last year.
Kinnick Stadium has a fairly new clear bag policy. Fans can only bring in things that fit into a 12X6X12 clear bag.
One option is gallon-sized bags that you might use to pack your lunch or store food. Fans have some mixed feelings about the policy.
“I’m not gonna worry about the size of the bag and being stopped at the gate, so I’m just going to leave my phone and everything in the car,” said Suzie Lampi.
“I think it’s an excellent idea in today’s world,” said Nancy Miller. “And it’s quite large. You can put in whatever you need. It’s great. No problems.”
Small clutches are also allowed. But they have to be 4.5×6.5 inches or smaller. People who have items that aren’t allowed can check their bag inside the stadium.
