ALTOONA – The Tornado, Outlaw, and Dragon got a new big brother this weekend at Adventureland Park.
On Saturday, “The Monster” made its dazzling debut. It’s Adventureland’s newest addition featuring a 25-hundred foot-long track and a 133-foot climb while reaching speeds of up to 65 miles per hour. Altoona’s newest toy was named one of America’s top new rides by CNN recently.
There’s also a slow loop that make you think you’re falling out. Sounds fun, right? Those at the park say their excited to show off the new ride.
“It’s our first new roller coaster in 20 years so we’re really excited to get it open to the public have everybody ride it see what they think so far everyone who has gotten off of it has been out of breath excited clapping laughing scared to death but happy to go on it again,” said Molly Vincent, director of advertising for Adventureland.
Adventureland is open until Labor Day weekend and the park opens up at 10 a.m. daily.
