ANKENY, Iowa — UPDATED AT 9 P.M. - Ankeny police found 14-year-old Dayla Cockerham safe Monday night.
"The Ankeny Police Department would like to thank the media and public for their help in this matter," the department said in a press release.

Ankeny police are asking the public for help in locating a missing, endangered teenage girl as of Monday afternoon.
14-year-old Dayla Cockerham was last seen Friday at approximately 1 a.m. when she left her place of residence.
"It is reported that Cockerham is currently in crisis and does not have her necessary medication with her," police said in a press release.
Cockerham is just over 5 feet tall and weighs around 100 pounds. She is Black with black hair and brown eyes.
Cockerham was last scene wearing black sweatpants with white logos down the side and a black hoodie with white strings. A photo of her wearing this outfit is available below. Police are unsure if she has her glasses with her.
Anyone with information about Cockerham's whereabouts is asked to contact Polk County Dispatch by calling 911.
