LINN COUNTY – The Iowa State Medical Examiner has positively identified the body found in Cedar Rapids on March 1 as Chris Bagley, officials said on Tuesday.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said that the cause of death was listed as sharp force injuries.
Bagley had been missing since December 14, 2018.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office, along with other agencies, searched a home at 4069 Soutter Ave SE in Cedar Rapids Thursday, February 28 and found the remains buried there on Friday, March 1.
Sheriff’s officials continue their investigation into the circumstances around his disappearance and death.
