Bond set at $5 million for man accused of killing Mollie Tibbetts

The man accused of killing Mollie Tibbetts appeared in court for the first time Wednesday afternoon.

The man accused of killing Mollie Tibbetts appeared in court for the first time Wednesday afternoon. 

24-year-old Cristhian Bahena Rivera, who was arrested Tuesday and charged with Murder in the First Degree, had his bond set at $5 million cash-only by Magistrate Diane Crookham-Johnson. 

Rivera will be in court next for a preliminary hearing on August 31.
