DES MOINES – 30-year-old Joshua Lee Adams allegedly stabbed his mother and his uncle inside the home he shared with his mother, according to a criminal complaint attached to his case.
The court documents report that Adams entered the home on E. 26th Street “with malice aforethought, premeditation, and specific intent” to allegedly stab and kill Gaylord Jolly Jr. and Tracy Adams on December 28. Both victims were stabbed numerous times, and died from their injuries.
Joshua Adams has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and remains in Polk County jail. His bond has been set at $2 million cash-only. His next court hearing is on January 8.
