DES MOINES, Iowa — Two people were injured after in a "domestic-related" stabbing incident in northern Des Moines on Sunday afternoon, police shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Police say a woman reported that she'd been stabbed in the arm around 2:24 p.m. A man was also allegedly stabbed.
It happened near Hickman Road, just across the street from Crocker Woods Park.
As of 2:30 p.m., police said the suspect in custody and the scene is secure. No information about the suspect or victims' names have been released yet. Both victims are expected to survive.
Police believe there is no ongoing danger in the area.
