CLIVE, Iowa — An Iowan woke up Thursday morning as the winner of Wednesday's "Lucky for Life" lottery drawing.

The winner will receive a prize of $25,000 a year for life, the Iowa Lottery announced.

The ticket matched the first five numbers but missed the Lucky Ball to win the game's second top prize. Wednesday's "Lucky for Life" winning numbers were 9-12-22-25-44 and Lucky Ball 9.

The winning ticket was sold at Hy-Vee, located at 2540 E. Euclid Ave. in Des Moines. The store will receive a $500 bonus from the Iowa Lottery for selling the winning ticket.

It wasn't the only winning ticket in Iowa Wednesday: A Powerball player in Burlington won a $100,000 prize.

The "Lucky for Life" winner must claim their prize at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive, while the Burlington winner can claim their winnings at any lottery office.
