DES MOINES – People who were at a local convenience store Tuesday afternoon witnessed a man being tased and then arrested.
According to Des Moines police, David Leroy Bailey was wanted from Colorado and a bounty hunter team followed him to Des Moines.
Bailey was confronted at the Tobacco Outlet and Grocery on SE 14th Street. Bailey thought he was being robbed, according to police, so he pulled out his gun.
Police showed up, tased Bailey and arrested him. Police said that Bailey is a felon and registered sex offender, and they allegedly found meth and his gun.
Bailey will eventually be sent back to Colorado.
