Des Moines police locate missing 75-year-old man

DES MOINES, Iowa — UPDATE, July 22, 1:10 p.m.: Police have located 75-year-old Pah Nwe. He is being reunited with his family.

Des Moines police are asking the public for help locating a missing man who is considered to be "endangered," the department said on social media. 

75-year-old Pah Nwe is said to have left his home near 32nd Street and Hickman Road around midnight on Sunday. Family members have not been able to locate him since. 

Nwe is 5'3" tall and weighs 120 lbs. He was last seen wearing a brown, long-sleeve shirt and black pants. 

Police say Nwe has memory issues and may be confused. In addition, Nwe speaks the Karenic language and does not speak English. He is known to walk around his neighborhood and collect cans. 

Anyone who has seen Nwe is asked to call 911.
