AMES, Iowa — The Ames Police Department says the Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted them on a Tuesday investigation at a house in in the 800 block of Grand Avenue.
Special Agent Michele Stevenson tells Local 5 that the investigation was planned, and they have a warrant to investigate the home.
There was no threat to the public, according to the FBI.

Ames Police Chief Chuck Cychosz released a statement on the raid Thursday:
“We realize this can be frustrating to our residents to not have details about a situation in their neighborhood, but any information about this incident must come from the FBI,” Cychosz said. “We’re confident they would let us know if there was an immediate risk to citizens.”
