AMES, Iowa — The FBI is releasing more information into what led to a raid at an Ames home on Tuesday.
Authorities were called to a house in the 800 block of Grand Avenue to investigate the attempted purchase of controlled substances.
FBI leaders said protective gear was worn during the search warrant.
Authorities said they're not aware of any specific or general threats to the public, and don't believe there were any dangerous materials.
“We realize this can be frustrating to our residents to not have details about a situation in their neighborhood, but any information about this incident must come from the FBI,” Cychosz said earlier Thursday. “We’re confident they would let us know if there was an immediate risk to citizens.”
