DES MOINES – A house that was bought out by the city of Des Moines after flash flooding last year caught fire Thursday night.
It happened at 37th Street and Easton Boulevard just before 10 Thursday night.
Multiple Des Moines Fire Crews arrived on scene.
Windows on the second floor of the home bursted out from the flames, that’s where most of the damage occurred.
Easton Boulevard in the area was shut down for about a half hour while crews fought the fire.
The house is vacant so there were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
