ANKENY – A delicious fundraiser is going on at both Hy-Vee’s in Ankeny this Saturday, April 27. From 11 a.m until 4 p.m. at the State St. or Ankeny Blvd. locations, you can grab a root beer float with all proceeds going to the Central Iowa Honor Flight. There is a suggested $1 donation to get a yummy root beer float.
The Honor Flight Network is a non profit organization that flies our nations veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials.
The inaugural flight took place back in 2005 and has grown exponentially to help as many veterans get to experience our nations memorials as possible.
