DES MOINES, Iowa — Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker will headline Polk County Democrats annual Steak Fry later this month.
Polk County Democrats announced the news Wednesday morning, writing on social media that Pritzker's policies and bipartisan work "are values we Democrats are proud to support and that are so lacking in Iowa’s Republican government."
The Steak Fry lineup also includes Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart, Senate Minority Leader Pam Jochum, House Minority Leader Jennifer Konfrst, State Auditor Rob Sand and U.S. congressional candidates Lanon Baccam (3rd District) and Ryan Melton (4th District).
The event will take place on Sept. 14 at Des Moines Water Works Park in the Biergarten area. Gates open at 11 a.m. with the meal service starting at noon and the program beginning at 1 p.m.
