DES MOINES – The Iowa Democratic Party has announced its speaker lineup for the 2016, formerly known as the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.
Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) will headline the event on October 14th. Other big names to appear on stage include U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Patty Judge, Jim Mowrer, Congressman Dave Loebsack (D-Iowa), Monica Vernon, and Kim Weaver.
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and former candidates Martin O’Malley and Sen. Bernie Sanders headlined last year’s event. Katy Perry and former President Bill Clinton also made appearances.
The Gala will take place at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention center in Des Moines, with the program beginning at 7 p.m.
