MANSON – Investigators are trying to determine what sparked a massive fire, destroying the John Deere implement on Sunday afternoon.
Around 3 p.m. witness saw fire trucks responding the K.C. Nielsen Implement along N65 in the southwest part of town.
The fire spread quickly and black smoke could be seen for miles as firefighters from nearly a half-dozen neighboring agencies worked to knock the fire down.
The fire was under control around 8 p.m. Sunday.
Pictures show scorched farm equipment that will likely total into the millions of dollars in losses.
K.C Nielsen is not open on Sunday, but witness tell Local 5 workers were on scene servicing equipment as part of their spring rush. The same witness went on to say tanker trucks relied on water from nearby Twin Lakes to help firefighting efforts.
The business is considered a total loss.
