1 dead, 2 injured in Keokuk County crash, Iowa State Patrol says

The crash report says a northbound vehicle crossed the center line on 323rd Avenue around 12:30 p.m., hitting a northbound car head-on.

KEOKUK COUNTY, Iowa — One man is dead and two people are injured after a crash on Saturday afternoon, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report.

The report indicates 79-year-old Marsha Patterson was driving northbound on 323rd Avenue around 12:30 p.m. when she crossed the center line, hitting a northbound car head on. 

Patterson and the other driver, 47-year-old Kathy Wagamon of Brighton, were injured in the crash. Both were transported to nearby hospitals for care. 

Patterson's passenger, 82-year-old Frank Patterson, died in the crash. Investigators believe he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
