Thousands raised in fund to bring Mollie Tibbetts home safely

BROOKLYN – There is now a $172,000 reward for information that leads to the safe return of 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts.

BROOKLYN – There is now a $172,000 reward for information that leads to the safe return of 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts.

Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa and the Tibbetts family held a joint press conference on Thursday to talk about the reward system and their hopes to get Mollie back home safely. Below are the highlights:

–Bring Mollie Tibbetts Home Safe Reward fund has been set up at a bank in Brooklyn

–Mollie’s family still believes that she is alive.

–Information will be received anonymously through the Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa.

–If anyone has seen anything that is related to Mollie’s disappearance, you’re encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers, and that information will be forwarded to investigators.

–Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers. 

–The goal is to get this information beyond the central Iowa community, and to get whoever is holding Mollie to give her up. 

–People can donate online or through a mailed check.

–Police have not told many details to the family.

–The family believes that this crime will be solved by someone coming forward who knows something about Mollie’s disappearance.
