Here is a recap of the severe weather that moved through central Iowa on Wednesday:
– There were 15 reported tornadoes in Iowa on Wednesday.
– The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado south of Stuart was an EF-0 with 75 mph maximum winds. It was on the ground for 7 miles from 4:12 to 4:20 pm.
– Damage surveys will be conducted today.
Luckily, no injuries were reported due to Wednesday’s storm in our viewing area. There are reports of damage in Pleasantville, and a report of an injury in Linn County as a result of the storm.
According to KWWL-TV in eastern Iowa:
“Linn County authorities say a woman was injured when her home collapsed near Prairieburg. Pieces from damaged farm structure littered the ground around Prairieburg after the storm passed.”
